AB DJ:s @ Sunny Side Up tomorrow

On extremely short notice we’d like to inform you that there’s another chance to see the Astor Bell dj:s in action this weekend. We’re last minute additions to a very nice sounding one day festival by Erikssunds castle north of Stockholm. Bands, dj:s and good food and drinks served all day and night. Mattias will play some old dub vinyls down by the beach during the day and I’ll team up with him for a techno set later on at night. Seems like it’ll be something special for sure, the surroundings look incredible. Plus the weather seems very promising. Come along and have one last go at the Swedish summer if you have the chance!

Hey all! Thanks to those of you coming out to our gig at Färgfabriken last weekend. Great festival and a great vibe.

Here are a few pics from the event. We’d give you a recording of our set, but it turned out pretty bad so we’ll save that for next time.

Love and respect to the OSC09 organizers and props to Swedish VJ Union for the amazing visuals. Looking forward to next year already!

Astor Bell DJ:s at OSC09 in Sthlm

If you’re in Stockholm (or have any chance of coming here) the weekend 13-15th of August, you should definitely check out OSC09 at FärgFabriken. It’s a three day festival celebrating the art and music culture that has derived after the fall of the Berlin wall 20 years ago. The bookings are getting better by the hour, and as seen on the flyer it’s combination of international heroes (Ada, Todd Terje, The Juan MacLean) and Sweden’s finest (The Field, Style of Eye, Tilliander). There are also several interesting audio and visual artists to enhance the experience (i.e. good friend Carl-Johan Rosén who monitors the dance floor with surveilance cameras, filters it and projects on the wall in real time).

Downstairs the dance floor is run by “Stockholm’s finest clubs and dj:s”, and naturally Astor Bell will be representing! Don Simon and Mattias Edholm will join forces for the first time on the friday night and deliver a set beyond your imaginations. Organic, deep, dark minimal techno that shall fuel those dancing kids. Come along!
